Member Rules

1. Members are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all social settings and events sponsored or connected with Girls and the City.
   
   
2. Members are to treat each other, Event Planners, sponsors, and the general public with respect, courtesy, proper etiquette and politeness.
   
   
3. Members shall not behave in any way that harasses, annoys, or pesters other members, either within or outside GATC events.
   
   
4. Members shall not conduct themselves in abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory, or libelous manner.
   
   
5. Members shall not promote patently false or misleading information.
   
   
6. Members shall not cheat, steal, or take advantage of another member or others.
   
   
7. Members who sponsor an event at a private residence or any other non-commercial location shall have the right to exclude any person without reason after approval by a staff member of GATC.
   
   
8. Members shall not promote illegal activities or use illegal substances at GATC events.
   
   
9. Members shall consume alcohol at events in a responsible manner with predetermined, safe ways to get home.
   
   
10. Members shall not show up unregistered for events, or have their guests or dog-friends do the same.
    
    
11. Members shall keep their friendly, vaccinated dog-friends under control and on a six foot leash at all events that permit them.
    
    
12. Members shall not discriminate or promote discrimination against other members based on race, color, gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
    
    
13. GATC reserves the right to exclude from the organization any person whom in its opinion might jeopardize its members or the organization at any time without reason or explanation. The member will be refunded the remainder of their annual due.

15. During events, GATC staff will be photographing attendees for use on our web site or other promotional materials. By participating in an event, you are granting the GATC permission to reuse these photos of you in such a manner.
